Years ago, back when I was about to turn 28, I decided to start a project that would take me through a year of self-exploration.
For that year, I'd hand everyone I talked to for more that five or ten minutes a small card, inviting them to answer a few quick questions online — things like "Where should I live?" and "What should I do professionally?"
The people I met tended to be intelligent and intuitive. So, whether I'd known someone for an instant or a decade, I wanted to know what they thought.
A year and a few hundred responses later, I tallied the results, put together a summary, and tried to act on the feedback.
